Markham EV Professionals (“we”, “us”) operates evchargermarkham.ca, a website that helps homeowners in Markham and York Region, Ontario request quotes for EV charger installation. Electrical services are provided by Freedom Electrical, ESA/ECRA Licence #7011915. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- Information you give us when you request a quote: name, phone number, email address, home address or neighbourhood, the service you need, and anything you tell us about your home, vehicle or electrical panel.
- Photo of your electrical panel, if you use the photo-based quote form.
- Technical information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the page you came from.
How we use it
- To prepare and send your quote, contact you about it, and schedule work.
- To arrange ESA permits and inspections for work you hire us for.
- To run, secure and improve the website, and prevent spam and fraud.
- To meet legal, tax and safety-code obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We will only send you marketing messages with your consent, and every such message will let you unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
- Freedom Electrical, the licensed electrical contractor that prepares quotes and performs the work.
- Service providers that help us run the site, such as website hosting, database, email delivery and analytics providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Authorities such as the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) and your local utility, where needed to file permits, inspections or applications for your project.
